Map of the Tri-Cities
For the second year in a row, the Mayor’s from Coquitlam, Port Coquitlam and Port Moody will hit the road to meet with other Mayors from across Canada as they travel to the Federation of Canadian Municipalities Annual Conference in Edmonton. Last year, the three Mayor’s traveled from Metro Vancouver to Niagara Falls, they interview 23 Mayors along the 7 day journey.

The Tri-Cities is geographically in the North East Sector of Metro Vancouver, and includes the cities of Coquitlam, Port Coquitlam and Port Moody – and additionally the villages of Belcarra and Anmore.  The three municipalities comprise a single school district (43) and colaborate on a number of issues.  While each City is independant and provides full service amenities, residents generally move between the cities ‘transparently’, with kids sports programs, rec facilities, shopping, restaurants , etc.
